Conv.. Sumner x2

It was a brisk sunny afternoon away at Old Coventrians.
Nuns had a good positive attitude from kick off, taking the game to OCs. Keeping the territory firmly in their half with a superb driving maul and push over try with Kahrman emerging with the try.
I have now lost count of how many he has scored, but consistency is his middle name.
The half backs were performing a good kicking game keeping OCs pinned back.
OCs did manage to break out and reply with a try and conversion, to make honours even.
Nuns however, kept going, driving them back in the scrums and winning good lineout.
Iles got his name on the score sheet with a great take by Spence at the lineout, into a driving maul. Which fell just short, and Watson passing to a waiting Iles who used his strength to power over despite the best efforts of two defenders.
Sumner missed the conversion, but it was 7-12.
OCs not wanting to get left behind went forward and scored a second try, bringing the scores level
Emery got back in time to cover a kick through by OCs and put halt to an OC attack.
The forwards worked hard in the tight holding up in the tackle, competing at the rucks and putting their half backs under pressure at all times
Half time and it stood at 12 - 12.
Second half and Nuns did not relent. They were focussed, clinical, and ruthless with OCs.
Not only in the attacking sense but defensivley as well.
OCs tried and tried again but could not break Nuns defensive line.
Nuns kept them pinned back and when they could they struck lethally.
Sumner put a kick through behind OCs defensive line with Pipe and Court chasing it, Pipe went over the line to make it 12-17.
Then OCs managed a visit into Nuns 22, but with good defense, Sumner was given the ball, releasing a cross field kick to Healey, he collected on the front foot and from inside the 22, he ran up the side line and over their line for a great solo try.
Sumner converting making it 12 - 24.
Nuns played positive rugby to the final whistle.
Watson played a brilliant game, getting all over the pitch, making tackles, solo runs and kicking from hand for territory position.
It was a great performance for the whole match from kick to the final whistle.
