

It was another defeat for the Nuns, this time down the A5 going down 57-24 to Lutterworth. Some changes to the squad sore Rudi Reid come in on a short term loan to bolster the back alongside Joe Franklin. In the backline Turner Jones started at scrum half as they only change.
The hosts were first to score in the 11th minute with a converted try but the Nuns came straight back. Winning a penalty from the kick off the kicked to touch and then from the resulting line out Arron Skyrme broke away and through a couple of tackles to score. Dan Prices conversion hit the bar into a stiff wind but the score was 7-5 after 13 minutes.
Unfortunately, the referee penalised the Nuns for crossing on the kick off receipt and the hosts kicked to the corner and from their lineout executed a powerful catch and drive to hit straight back. The try was converted to move the score to 14-5 on 15minutes.
Lutterworth added a third converted try on 20 minutes to extend the lead to 21-5.
The Nuns though proved that when they could retain possession they could challenge the home defence. After a period of sustained pressure and some strong carries they worked the ball wide for Tom Eales to score. Price added the conversion to bring the score to 21-12 after 32 minutes.
And the Nuns maintained a period of good play keeping Lutterworth in their half but, as has happened to often so far, the ball was lost. From the resulting scrum, Lutterworth broke 70m to score and finish the half 26-12 in the lead.
They extended their lead after 43 minutes with another unconverted try to 31-12.
The Nuns, again got themselves back into the game on 49 minutes. Aherne carried strongly first and broke the line, then the ball was taken on by Chawadya who offloaded out of the tackle to the supporting Reid to score under the posts. James Astin added the conversion and gave the Nuns some added belief at 31-19.
Lutterworth came back strongly and scored another four tries though to punish the Nuns on the board, extending their lead to 57-19.
On 70 minutes the Nuns lost Captain Aherne to a knee injury but did get the final word of the game. Lutterworth spilt the ball and it was hacked through by the Nuns from 60m. Nemani Rayabo collected it from a ruck 5m out and crossed for the side’s fourth try securing a bonus point. The conversion was missed leaving the final 57-19.
