Match Preview

It’s a trip to Leicestershire this weekend for the Nuns who take on Oadby Wyggestonians looking to carry on where they left off last weekend with a bonus point win. When we hosted Oadby on the Stadium pitch earlier in the season, the Nuns came away with a 36-9 victory but it was a disjointed performance and the squad know the hosts have been in better form of late. So far they have picked up 5 wins from 14 games and last weekend they went down to Northampton Old Scouts 45-17. They currently sit 9th in the league on 25 points.

The Nuns picked up their 11th win of the season defeating Towcestrians 74-7, their biggest win of the season, which kept them in 3rd on 59 points. The top 4 sides all won with bonus points and so no changes in current league position.

The Saxons are at home this weekend against Syston 2s after Dudley Kingswinford 2s pulled out. Last weekend they went down 30-26 at Lichfield and after going down 21-0 in the first 10mins came back well and were unlucky not to secure the win.

The Colts are back in action with a home game against Harbury Colts.

The backline sees some changes. Travis Bennett-Allcock starts in the centre for Ryan Preston, Tak Chawadya returns on the wing in place of Oli Mitchell and having returned to the club in the New Year from Hinckley, Joe Wilson starts at full back.
