The Nuns begin the New Year with a home game against Towcestrians this weekend and they will be looking to continue their run of good form. In the last game of 2023 they took on unbeaten Northampton Old Scouts and came out with a 31-17 win to secure maximum points. That win lifted the Nuns to 3rd in the league on 54 points, Lutterworth currently sit top with 56 points with Market Harborough 2nd on 54 and Northampton Old Scouts 4th on 52 with the latter two having a game in hand against each other on January 20th.

With Nuns on a 5 game winning run, visitors Towcestrians come into the game bottom of the league with no wins from their 13 games and have picked up 5 bonus points. One of those came in the earlier game this season when the Nuns won 39-26 and they will be prepared for another tough game. Last time out Towcestrians went down 24-18 at home to Kettering.

The Saxons are looking to start the New Year on the front foot and have an away game with Lichfield.

The Colts don’t have a game this weekend as a number of players are paying Sunday for the District U17s on Sunday, good luck.

Team news: two changes in the pack from last time out sees James Redman and Ben Holmes swap roles as well as Toby Dearden and Augy Clarke.
