This weekend sees the league campaign reach the half way point and there are some eye catching games to suit. At the foot of the table Towcestrians travel to Newbold as the bottom two face off, a home win for Newbold could see them catch up on those above them and would leave Tows cast adrift at the foot. At the other end, top of the league Northampton Old Scouts have a second top of the table clash this time with Market Harborough. The last round of games saw Lutterworth and Old Scouts play out a 35 all draw which allowed Harborough to leap over their county rivals into second. Since their defeat on the opening weekend of the season they have notched up 9 wins in a row to secure 44 points. Old Scouts remain the only undefeated side with 9 wins and a draw on 47 points.

The Nuns currently sit 4th on 39 points and host Lutterworth in 3rd on 44 points. The Nuns had a rest weekend last week on the back of another strong win away at Leicester Forest. For the second week running they scored 6 tries and conceded only 2 and know that they face a big test tomorrow against Lutterworth who are the highest scorers and have the meanest defence.

The Saxons have an away league game with Lichfield 2s. Last week they went down to a well drilled Old Northamptonians 2s 67-19.

No game for the Saracens this week after their 29-0 loss to Manor Park last weekend.

The Colts travel to Leicester Forest for a friendly. Last weekend they came away with a hard fought 10-7 victory over at Barkers Butts.
