The Nuns continue on the road for a third game as the make the furthest trip of the season to Peterborough this weekend. After a weekend off, for the Rugby World Cup Final, the squad will be looking to continue where it finished against Wellingborough having wrapped up a fourth win in a row. With the severe rain a couple of weeks ago we were lucky that Wellingborough could switch the game around and host it on a pitch in perfect condition. The Nuns came out firing and had a four try bonus point wrapped up after 25 minutes on their way to a 38-10 victory.
That win saw the Nuns move up to 4th in the league on 28 points. Peterborough currently sit in 7th position with 2 wins and 5 defeats but 4 of those defeats have yielded losing bonus points. Last time out they lost 38-34 at Northampton Old Scouts and so they are an opponent not to be taken lightly.
The Saxons continue their league campaign with a home game against Lichfield. Their last league game against Syston was a wash out and then last Friday they played a friendly at Broadstreet and came away with a 39-19.
The Colts have a development game under lights tonight at Old Coventrians. Last week they lost in a league game 69-12 away at Old Coventrians.
A reminder also that the club will be hosting a Fireworks display on Sunday night and if it’s like last year’s then it will be a great evening.
Team news: the Nuns have announced an unchanged team from the last game against Wellingborough. There is only one change on the bench with Stewart Davies returning to the squad and Fin Powell missing out through injury.
