It’s a first run out on the Stadium Pitch of the season this weekend as the Nuns host Oadby Wyggestonians tomorrow afternoon. After back to back away games that yielded a bonus point defeat, with a missed last kick of the game, and a bonus point win last time out at Towcestrians the Nuns currently find themselves currently in 6th place on 13 points from 2 wins and 5 bonus points. Oadby have had a difficult start to the season and currently lie 12th without picking up any points so far this season.
The Saxons game last week was called off by Market Harborough and we couldn’t find another opponent. This weekend they travel to Towcestrians for a friendly.
The Colts came away from Lutterworth with a 24-19 win last weekend. This Saturday they are back in league action with a home game against Broadstreet at 3pm.
It will be a busy day at the club with the Nuneaton Beer Festival taking place over the weekend as well as round 4 of Rugby World Cup games on the TVs.
Team news: Ben Holmes swaps with James Redman this weekend at loose head prop. The rest of the pack remains the same as last weekend.
In the backline Jamie Coburn starts at scrum half for the first time this season in partnership with Max Carter. Stewart Davies will partner Tom Eales in the centre having come off the bench last weekend and scoring a second half hat trick. Travis Bennett-Allcock moves out to the wing in place of the injured Harry Beverley.
James Redman, Rudi Reid and Elliott Brown make up the bench.
