It is with sadness that we report the death of John Deeming on Thursday 8 April
2021.

John was a member of Nuneaton RFC from 1949 to 1962. During this time he was
Club Captain in the 1955-56 season which was also the Club’s 75th Anniversary when
John Captained the Nuns side which played Llanelli on 23 April 1956. In the 52-53
season he was top points scorer, amassing 83 points from 7 tries, 12 penalty goals and
13 conversions. As a youngster, John had Captained England Schoolboys beating
Wales at Cardiff Arms Park.
