The Nuns make the short journey across to Coventry to take on Warwickshire rivals Broadstreet under lights this Friday. It should be a cracker of a match with just one place and 4 points separating the teams. This is the second meeting of the season after ‘Street took the spoils in the Warwickshire Cup back in October, but this will be a different squad put out by the Nuns.
Both sides come into the game on the back of defeats. Last weekend the Nuns went down 31-28 to Bridgnorth, a win that took them top of the table, whilst Broadstreet lost 49-34 at home to Newport. ‘Street have a record of 6 wins, 1 draw and 4 losses so far with the Nuns picking up 5 wins and 6 losses.
The Saxons also play Broadstreet this weekend on Saturday afternoon. They didn’t play last weekend. The Colts have a week off.
Team news: Just one change in the pack from last week with the props rotating and so Ben Holmes and Sam Greening start with James Redman moving to the bench.
Also, one change in the backs with Jackson Hughes coming back in at full back for Richard Johnston.
Theo Knight comes back on to the bench too.
