Nuns Colts finally got the chance to play their first‑round Warwickshire Cup tie away at Harbury RFC.
Perfect rugby weather set the tone, and the first half was a real arm‑wrestle. Both sides traded territory from 22 to 22, with chances but no early breakthrough. Midway through the half the Nuns struck first, only for Harbury to hit back quickly, leaving the Colts 5–7 ahead at the break.
The second half swung more in Nuneaton’s favour, though a few lapses and unnecessary errors made the job harder than it needed to be. Strong teamwork and sustained pressure paid off, with the Colts adding two more tries to Harbury’s one, sealing a 12–19 win and a place in the Warwickshire Cup Quarter Finals.
Tries came from Farmer, Tedcastle and captain Darlington, with Anthony slotting two conversions from three.
A solid performance and a well-earned win against a very capable Harbury side. Thanks for hosting us, and all the best for the rest of the season.
