Nuneaton Rugby Club closed out the season in style with a 39–57 win away at Keresley, securing second place in the division after a hard‑fought and highly entertaining final fixture.

This was a match many had been looking forward to — not least because several former teammates lined up on opposite sides. With the sun shining and the ground firm, both teams arrived ready for a physical contest. Keresley provided an excellent setting, with a lively atmosphere, entertainment, and great hospitality throughout the day.

The game began at pace, Keresley striking first before Nuneaton responded with a converted try. The first half followed a tit‑for‑tat pattern, with strong defence and determined attacking play from both sides. Keresley held a narrow advantage at half‑time, but the match remained finely balanced.

The opening stages of the second half continued in the same competitive fashion, each team scoring and defending with real commitment. However, in the final quarter, the Nuns found another gear. Through disciplined teamwork and several outstanding individual efforts, Nuneaton pulled clear and took control of the match, finishing 39–57 winners.
