Nuneaton Rugby Club enjoyed a truly memorable weekend as past, present, and future generations of Nuns came together for two days of celebration, connection, and rugby at its best.
Saturday: Honouring the Past and Inspiring the Future
The weekend began with a special Former Players Lunch, where generations of Nuns returned to Liberty Way to reconnect, share stories, and celebrate the club they helped shape. The room was full of laughter, old friendships rekindled, and the unmistakable pride that comes from having worn the Nuns jersey.
Earlier in the day, the club hosted the Future Players Meet Former Players event, a standout moment in its own right. Young Nuns had the chance to meet the legends who paved the way, creating a powerful bridge between the club’s history and its future. Seeing former players chatting with the next generation, swapping tales and taking photos, captured everything that makes this club special.
Adding to the atmosphere, supporters were treated to two games of rugby on the stadium pitch, giving everyone the perfect backdrop to enjoy a full day of Nuns action.

Sunday: St Patrick’s Afternoon Brings the Clubhouse to Life
The celebrations continued on Sunday with a lively St Patrick’s Afternoon. The clubhouse was buzzing with music, laughter, and a sea of green as families, players, and supporters came together for a relaxed and joyful afternoon. The energy never dipped, and the sense of community was felt in every corner of Liberty Way.
A Weekend That Showed What Nuns Rugby Is All About
Across both days, one theme shone through: the strength of the Nuns family. From the legends who built the club, to the young players who will carry it forward, to the supporters who bring the heartbeat — this weekend showcased the pride, connection, and spirit that define Nuneaton Rugby Club.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make it a weekend to remember.
