Join Nuneaton RFC Minis and Juniors this September and have a go at playing rugby.

The rugby season starts on Sunday 2nd September and we invite you to join Nuneaton RFC and give rugby a ‘try’. Whether your child has played rugby before or they just want to see if they will enjoy the game, we invite you to join us for training this September. It’s FREE!

Welcoming players from age 4 and above we have 11 age groups with qualified, friendly coaches to make sure young players enjoy the game.

Younger players have fun learning the basics and get introduced to tag rugby. It starts with non-contact rugby for boys and girls and progresses through the age groups building towards the full 15 a-side game.

FAQ - When is training?
We train or have fixtures every Sunday from 10.30am and sessions last for 1 hour at the younger age groups and 1.5 hours for older players. In September most age groups train at home for the first 4 weeks so come and join us.

FREE TRIAL! - For the first few weeks in September you can give rugby a try and it’s totally FREE for the first few weeks. If you like it you can then register as a player for as little as £75 for the entire season.

Please arrive at 10.15 to say hello and give us enough time to get the players prepared with their equipment.

FAQ - What age group is rugby for?
We coach children from age 4 and above. From September your child must be at least 4 years old and in reception year or above at school. Unfortunately, we cannot coach younger children that are not in school or turn 4 after the start of September.

FAQ – What clothing will the children need?
To start with just wear comfortable sports clothes and trainers. Always wear a few layers. After a few weeks the kit required is quite simple-

Boots – Rugby or football boots are fine. Please check that none of the studs are missing and they do not have sharp edges. Blades are allowed but studs are preferred.
Warm top/jumper/tracksuit. There are some great training tops available from the club shop
Base Layers or T Shirt.
Shorts or tracksuit bottoms.
Suitable Socks
Jacket. We recommend a windproof and showerproof jacket or NRFU training top.

FAQ – Is there anything else I need?
A drink! Please bring a drink for the players. We stop regularly during training to keep all players happy and hydrated.

We hope to see you soon!
We hope that covers the basics, so what are you waiting for? Give rugby a ‘try’ and join us in September. You can locate all of the team managers using this website of find us on Facebook.
