Scott appointed Captain of the Navy Rugby Union side

Representative Honours for Scott Makepeace

Nuneaton RFC are delighted for one of our own players, Scott Makepeace, who has been appointed Captain of the Navy Rugby Union squad as they start their Inter Services Campaign this month. Scott has come through the Mini & Junior Section of the Club and has represented the Navy, Warwickshire and Worcester Warriors as well making 50 appearances for the Nuns.

He takes on the French Navy tonight at Plymouth Albion.

In appointing Scott Makepeace as their 61st captain, the Navy Rugby Union will be hoping he emulates the feats of the last lock forward who captained the Royal Navy side. Higginson's class of '74 have gone down in Navy History folklore and Scott will be looking to emulate the young RM lieutenant. Last season Scott was presented with the Navy's Proud Heritage Exciting Future award and I am sure, when it was presented, he wasn't expecting quite how exciting his future was to become. All at Alligin Photography and the History of Navy Rugby wish him well as he plans his upcoming campaign against the French Navy, RAF and Army.
