The Nuns are in the Warwickshire Cup Final for the second year running this Sunday. They travel to Coventry RFC, Butts Park Arena, to take on Midlands 1 West side Sutton Coldfield and will be hoping that they can improve upon last year’s runners up spot to Broadstreet. The Nuns won their semi-final with a 71-0 victory over Newbold. Sutton won a thrilling semi-final with Rugby Lions 45-24 to gain their spot in the final.
The two sides last met in the league in January 2016 with the Nuns coming out 44-12 winners and the Nuns also won the last Cup game between the two sides in the 2014/15 season, 34-15. Sutton may not be having a season to remember in the league but they have a proud history in the Cup winning it two years on the run in 2010 and then 2011.
Kick off for the game is at 2:15pm and entry costs £4. It would be great to see as much support as possible. It could also be a Cup double for the club as the Saxons will be presented with their 2nd Cup after the game too.
The Saracens have a game on Saturday as they travel over to local club Barkers Butts to play their 3rds, 2.15pm kick off.
