The Nuns are back in action this weekend, after last week's postponement, as they travel across to Old Halesonians to face the leagues bottom side. It has been a tough season for Hales after a chance in philosophy which has seen them suffer 17 defeats in a row so far. When the sides last met earlier in the season it was a 63-0 win for the Nuns and they will be looking to carry on the momentum of 5 wins in a row.
The Saxons are in home action and are looking to carry on their good form after picking up wins in their last 3 games. They host Old Hales 2s and will have confidence from a 50-5 win over Syston last weekend. The hunt for a top 3 league position is still on with the side just 3 points off 3rd. Old Hales currently sit at the base of the league with just a draw and 13 losses.
This weekend also sees the start of the RBS 6 Nations with the club showing all the games on the TV's and BIG Screen this weekend.

Birmingham & Solihull narrowly beat (17-20) Lichfield to maintain their lead at the top. Peterborough Lions won at Newbold. Newport (Salop) didn't concede a point to Old Halesonians. Week 18 - 27th January
Can anyone stop Birmingham & Solihull's (1) perfect season? I doubt that Longton (12) can. Peterborough Lions (2) v Newport (Salop) (3). Time is running out for those chasing the top two. Lions to win this one. Tough game for Doncaster Phoenix (4) at Bridgnorth (9). Sandbach (5) will be too good for Newbold (13). Scunthorpe (6) should beat a struggling Derby (8). Nuns (7) go to Old Halesonians (14) hoping to improve their points difference. Bournville (11) have lost their last 5 and Lichfield (10) will make it six.
