The Nuns welcome Shropshire side Bridgnorth to Liberty Way tomorrow

The Nuns enter the last month of the season looking to finish with some positive momentum and welcome 6th placed Bridgnorth to Liberty Way tomorrow afternoon. Both teams come into the game on the back of defeats with the Nuns losing out in the last two minutes at Bournville 37-34 and Bridgnorth suffering a home defeat to Newport, 37-28. When the two sides met in Shropshire earlier this season the home team came out winners 34-20. This was a game that the Nuns had been leading in just after half time but faded in the performance as the game went on. From their 23 games so far Bridgnorth have picked up 13 wins and 10 defeats to sit on 67 points, 6 points ahead of the Nuns.

A big thank you goes out to our Match day sponsors for tomorrow too:

The Saxons have unfortunately had to concede their fixture with Hinckley due to player injuries and unavailability’s, this decision was not taken lightly. In their last fixture against Towcestrians the side went down 25-10 but put in a huge effort with just 15 players and then going down to 14 early in the second half.

Team news: in the front row Callum Grant-Smith move to hooker from the flank. Rudi Reid and Tom Aherne come into the second row having both returned to fitness. In the back row, Danny Southall returns from a broken suffered at Christmas and Arron Skyrme moves from the bench to start alongside Todd Bullions.

In the backline, Huw Thomas moves from scrum half to fly-half in place of the injured Rory Vowles with Tom Smitham partnering him at half back. Ben Kirby has recovered from his head knock at Birmingham/Solihull and starts in the centre for the unavailable Elliott Brown. Manasa Volaikisuva joins Jackson Hughes and Adam Stauvers in the back three.
