The Nuns and Saxons both ravel down the M42 tomorrow to take on Birmingham/Solihull. It puts the Nuns up against the league leaders and will be a stern test having been defeated 56-11 at home earlier in the season. Both teams come into the game having had snow affected weekends. The Nuns may not have won their last two games but there has been plenty of commitment, attacking flair and hard work. Pushing two strong teams to the very end only yielded 3 points but could easily have been two wins.
The Saxons have gone two weeks without a game but currently sit tied in third with Burton on 49 points, Bees 2s are in 8th on 36 points. When they met earlier in the league the Saxons claimed a 23-13 win.
Team news: Ryan Leake comes in at hooker with Callum Grant-Smith moving to the back row. He is joined by Jon Pateman and Ben Holmes. With Matt Gibbs still injured and Scott Makepeace in action Monday night for the Navy against the Australian Navy, Arron Turner partners Tom Aherne in the second row. Rudi Reid is unavailable and Adie Hall has a back strain and so Arron Skyrme comes in from the bench with Todd Bullions.
The back line is the same that took on Scunthorpe with Rich Johnston coming back to the wing.
The bench is made up off Dan Oselton, Sam Wallis and Ryan Southall.
