Bright future for Nuns as we appoint distinguished former Welsh international as Technical Adviser

Nuneaton Rugby Football Club have announced the appointment of Phil Davies as Rugby Technical Advisor on a part time consultancy basis

The Club is undergoing a restructure and hope to use Phil’s vast experience to guide the club through this development phase on Rugby matters.

Phil’s consultancy company offers advice and support covering key areas of Leadership and coaching involving business and sport.

His vast playing experience includes 15 years as a player with Llanelli Scarlets along with gaining 46 caps for Wales as a player and Captain.

He is Currently employed by World rugby as Director of rugby and Head Coach to the Namibia National Team and coached the team at the 2015 World cup in England

His past experiences also include Director of Rugby roles at Leeds taking the club from National One to the Premiership during a decade long stay along with the Scarlets and most recently Cardiff Blues.

Club Vice Chairman Neil Robinson commented: -

“We’re pleased to move the Club forward with another major appointment. Phil’s track record as player and coach speaks for itself and he is highly respected within the game of Rugby. He will have a crucial role at Nuneaton helping us to set up the model and structure we need. His counsel to coaches and players will be highly valued and sets us up for a bright future. Rest assured the Nuns are on the up!"

Phil Davies commented: -
"I’m delighted to be involved with NRFC during this exciting period of development for the club.

In between my commitments with Namibia I look forward to working with and supporting a very talented group of coaches and players as they embark on this exciting journey."
